PartnerTech and Biotage, an international company in the field of life science research, have expanded their cooperation and signed a new agreement to manufacture instruments for DNA analysis and microwave synthesis. The agreement, which runs for two years and renews automatically, is worth an estimated SEK 40 million annually.

Rune Glavare has today been appointed President and CEO of PartnerTech. Mr. Glavare has served in this position since 25 October 2007, when he was appointed as Acting CEO.

Due to lower sale volumes, PartnerTech forecast full-year operating earnings of SEK 20 million in December 2007. The forecast included non-recurring costs of SEK 50 million and an action plan. Since that time, additional non-recurring costs of SEK 28.6 million have been identified. Meanwhile, operating earnings have been affected to a greater extent than expected by the sales volume decline and currency fluctuations. As a result, the total outcome is SEK 37.5 million lower than forecast.

Gunnebo Cash Automation, a subsidiary of the Gunnebo security group, has signed a new cooperative agreement with PartnerTech to manufacture products for its SafePay™ cash handling system. The agreement runs until 2010.
